Hot school meals are provided through a company called Chartwells. They are accessible to every pupil and cater for a variety of dietary requirements and preferences. The menus are updated on a bi-annual basis.
Children in Reception, Y1 & Y2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals which ensures that all children will receive a hot meal at least once a day.
Children in Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 will still have access to the hot meals but parents will need to pay for them.
When your child first starts at Rusper Primary, parents will be given information on how to order school meals for their child. Meals need to be ordered at least two weeks in advance. Ordering is done through a system called Parentpay and if your child is in Y3 or above you will be required to pay through this system when ordering hot lunches.
